Canada BU18’s to Play in COPA AMERICA – Raising Stars 2024

The IFA7™ COPA AMERICA – Raising Stars is one of the most prestigious single-event sporting competition in the continent for seven-aside football, and is contested by the BU18 teams from Member Associations of IFA7. The 2024 competition will host Nations from the American continent, and will provide us with the ability to showcase our Canadian talent.

We have a very talented squad – Head coach Basir Saleh Said..

The Canada BU18 National team players were hand pick by the head coach Basir Saleh, and they are composed from Brithis Columbia and Alberta.

Coach Saleh, has extended experience in Football 7v7, as he has participated in prior international events, he also brought Alex Leaist as his assitant coach and goalkeeper coach. Leaist who participated in several international tournaments like; IFA7 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2017, COPA AMERICA 2016, among many others, also was selected as the best Goalkeeper in 2015 for his international participations.

We have a very talented squad and this is a great opportunity for our young players, to be exposed to the international professional football and grow their abilities in the sport. – Said coach Saleh.

The tournament will start on april 2024, and can be watch live!

The tournament will take place in Lima, Peru from april 24th to the 28th, and can be watch live through the official channels of the Canda Soccer Federation.
