The International Football Association (IFA7) continues its global preparations for the IFA7 World Championship™ 2026, the premier competition of Football 7 that will bring together the best national teams from around the world.
As part of this process, Manuel Ocaña Segreste, IFA7’s Director of International Competitions, held an important meeting with the Mayor of Morelia, Mr. Alfonso Martínez Alcázar, to discuss the possibility of the city being considered as one of the potential host venues for this world-class event.
During the meeting, Mayor Martínez Alcázar expressed his commitment to sport, strong moral values, and reliability in fulfilling his word, reaffirming his administration’s openness to supporting initiatives that promote international visibility and youth development through sport. His leadership and forward-thinking vision have made Morelia an example of civic progress and institutional collaboration.
