What Is Football 7?

Football 7, also known as 7-a-side football or Soccer 7, is a dynamic form of association football played with seven players per team.

The format combines the technical qualities and tactical principles of traditional football with a faster playing environment, increased player participation and greater accessibility for organizers and communities.

IFA7 owns, organizes, sanctions or authorizes an international portfolio of Football 7 competition properties.

Governance and Independence

IFA7 is responsible for its own governance, membership, regulations, competitions, appointments and international operations.

The organization operates independently and is not a member, subsidiary or representative of FIFA.

The FIFA–IFA7 trademark coexistence agreement concerns the coexistence of the parties’ respective trademarks and brand identities. It must not be interpreted as FIFA sporting recognition, FIFA membership or institutional affiliation.

IFA7’s authority over its own competitions and member structures is exercised through its statutes, regulations, contracts and official written authorizations.

Integrity and Official Authorization

IFA7 is committed to protecting athletes, members, sponsors, broadcasters, host organizations and other stakeholders from unauthorized or misleading representations.

Only IFA7 and its formally authorized representatives may:

• Approve official IFA7 membership

• Appoint national or regional representatives

• Award IFA7 competition hosting rights

• Authorize use of IFA7 trademarks and competition brands

• Confirm participation in official international competitions

• Issue official licenses, certificates or institutional documents

Organizations and individuals claiming to represent IFA7 should be verified through IFA7’s official headquarters or authorized communication channels.

Intellectual Property and Brand Protection

The IFA7 name, identity, logos, competition properties, regulations, audiovisual materials, publications and official promotional assets are protected intellectual-property assets.
