The International Football Association (IFA7) confirms that, effective July 29, 2026, the authority previously granted to the African Confederation of 7-A-Side Football (AFC7) to act, represent, negotiate, affiliate organizations, organize activities, collect funds, or make institutional commitments on behalf of IFA7 has been suspended pending the completion of formal contractual proceedings.
During this suspension, AFC7 and its representatives are not authorized to:
- represent themselves as acting on behalf of IFA7;
- negotiate affiliations, agreements, sponsorships, or institutional partnerships in the name of IFA7;
- organize or promote activities as officially authorized by IFA7;
- collect funds, affiliation fees, participation payments, or other financial contributions based upon an actual or implied IFA7 mandate;
- use IFA7’s name, website, intellectual property, competitions, or institutional authority in new public materials.
Any organization, public institution, commercial partner, team, club, or individual receiving a representation concerning IFA7 activities in Africa is requested to verify its authorization directly through IFA7’s official channels.
This notice is issued solely to protect IFA7, its affiliates, institutional partners, athletes, and stakeholders while the formal process remains underway.
This suspension does not constitute an invitation for competing organizations or individuals to claim or assume IFA7 authority in Africa. Any future continental structure or appointment may only be established through an official written decision of IFA7.
