The International Football Association – IFA7 officially confirmed Tegucigalpa, Honduras as the host city of the IFA7 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP™ Honduras 2026, following the formal delivery of the Official Host Certificate during a press conference held at the Estadio Nacional José de la Paz Herrera “Chelato Uclés.”
The ceremony marked an important milestone in the global expansion of Football 7 and confirmed Honduras as the next international stage for the sport’s premier national team competition.
The official certificate was presented by Manuel Ocaña, representative of the International Football Association – IFA7, recognizing the Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés as the official venue of the championship.
The event was attended by sports authorities, members of CONDEPOR, media representatives, and international delegates from IFA7.
Among the key figures present was Arnold Cruz, former professional footballer and newly appointed IFA7 Ambassador in Honduras, who will also serve as Head Coach of the Honduras National Football 7 Team for the upcoming world championship.
